Sky Gallery
Time: 8:00 AM
Weather: Dramatic cloud formations, change approaching
Location: Washington Cathedral area

The Moment:
On my way to work, I looked up to see the sky transformed into nature’s own art gallery. Mammatus clouds - those rare, pouch-like formations that hang like cotton batting from the heavens - stretched across the DC skyline, signaling a weather shift on the horizon.
Layers of grey and white clouds with distinctive bulbous formations, urban architecture silhouetted against the dramatic sky, early morning light filtering through in patches
The hum of morning traffic, and rustling leaves in the breeze. The cool morning air carrying the promise of rain, a gentle wind that made the moment feel alive
That electric feeling in the air that comes before weather changes, the fresh scent of approaching rain mixing with morning city air
In that ordinary moment on my way to work, I felt completely present and connected to something larger than myself. The sky reminded me that beauty exists everywhere - even above a city during its bustling rush hour - if we just remember to look up.
