A flash of movement caught my eye near the weathered wooden beam holding up the Dragon Fruit stems, and there he was - a perfect anole displaying his brilliant orange-yellow throat dewlap like a tiny sunset flag. He sat completely still, unbothered by my presence, his jewel-bright blue eye catching the dappled light filtering through the leaves above. Time slowed as I watched this beautiful creature simply being himself in his garden world. The vibrant dewlap glowed against the brown-gray weathered wood while soft golden-green bokeh danced in the background - leaves catching morning light like scattered coins. The gentle rustle of foliage mixed with distant bird calls created the perfect soundtrack for this peaceful encounter. What struck me most was his complete comfort in our shared space.
